Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Salam Fayyad, prime minister of the Palestinian caretaker government in the West Bank, said that setting fire to the mosque "is a terrorist action" and promised to renovate the mosque.

He held Israel responsible for not arresting those who set fire to the mosque and committed previous crimes.

Fayyad warned that "such crimes and actions would drag the whole region to a large wave of violence." However, he said the Palestinian people "won't be terrified by such assaults, and, on the contrary, they will keep peacefully demanding for their legitimate rights."
