Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- A lecture was given at the Korean Hall in Tokyo Tuesday to mark the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Present there were Chief Vice-Chairman Ho Jong Man and vice-chairmen of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, advisors to the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, permanent advisor to the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, department directors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and leading officials of its organizations and enterprises.

Prior to the lecture, its attendants watched a Korean film dealing with leader Kim Jong Il's unofficial visit to Siberian and Far East regions of Russia.

The participants heard the video-recorded lecture "Our Homeland Alive with the Drive for a Great Surge in Improving the Standard of People's Living".
