21st ITF Congress Held

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- The 21st International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) Congress took place in Pyongyang on Wednesday. The congress reviewed the work since the 20th ITF Congress and discussed the ways to strengthen and develop the federation. Present there were Jang Ung, president of the ITF, Phap Lu, secretary general of the ITF, Leong Wai Meng and Yuri Kalashinikov, vice-presidents of the ITF, Han Chun Hui, widow of Choe Hong Hui, former president of the ITF, and members of the federation. Kang Nung Su, vice premier of the Cabinet, Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, and officials concerned also took part in the congress. An opening address and a congratulatory speech were made. Then agenda items were discussed at the congress. It decided to hold the 18th Taekwon-Do World Championships and the 22nd ITF Congress in Bulgaria and adopted relevant documents. |
