Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- The International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "Juche idea and nation's development" on September 3 on the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Without the idea indicating a right way no nation could develop independently or escape the fate of a ship without a compass drifting in wind and waves, the article said, and went on:

The Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed and enriched by General Secretary Kim Jong Il indicates the right way of developing politics, economy, military affairs, idea and culture.

Firstly, the Juche idea indicates a true way of achieving the political independence of the nation.

The political independence of the nation should be achieved through political independence.

To this end it is necessary to defend national independence, sovereignty and interests and enforce politics by relying on one's own efforts.

Secondly, the Juche idea indicates a scientific way of building an independent national economy.

The independent national economy provides a material guarantee for confidently realizing independence in politics.

Thirdly, the Juche idea indicates the way of developing self-reliant military power.

Now that the imperialists are becoming all the more pronounced in their moves for aggression against other countries than ever before, to build a powerful self-reliant military capability presents itself as a particularly important issue.

The self-reliant military capability provides a military guarantee for defending the political and economic independence of the country and the nation.

Fourthly, the Juche idea clarifies the guidelines for ideological and cultural development.

The Juche idea teaches the most right way of resolutely foiling the imperialists' ideological and cultural poisoning and glorifying the peculiar national culture which has been created and developed historically.
