Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- Abdullatif Oumran, general director of the Syrian newspaper Al Baath, was interviewed Wednesday by KCNA before his departure from here after visiting the DPRK.

He said that he was deeply impressed to see the reality of the DPRK.

Noting that the leader and people form a harmonious whole in the DPRK and this single-minded unity is a basic source making it possible for it to stand unshaken in any storm and stress, he said:

True to the Songun politics pursued by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the Korean people have registered shining successes. This encourages the people of the countries desirous of independence, peace and socialism.

I was excited to hear the news that Kim Jong Il paid visits to the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.

Kim Jong Il's recent visits are of great significance in boosting the friendly relations between countries and protecting regional peace and stability.

Our newspaper is widely introducing the reality of the DPRK under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

We will widely introduce the Korean people standing on the common front against imperialism in the future, too.
