Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday editorially says that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is the invulnerable socialist bulwark which demonstrates its invincible might thanks to the great Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The glorious history of Kim Il Sung's Korea and its invincible stamina and strong national power have their source in socialism and the Korean people's boundless happiness and eternal future lie in following the road of socialism, the editorial notes, and goes on:

The DPRK is crystal of President Kim Il Sung's patriotic idea and Juche-oriented idea of socialism.

Kim Il Sung's founding of the DPRK in September 63 years back marked a historic event that opened a new era in building a socialist state guided by the Juche idea.

The DPRK has recorded a heroic epic of brilliant victory and changes along the road of Juche-oriented socialism under the leadership of the President. It defeated the world's strongest imperialist power, emerged a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence. On this basis, it could consolidate the eternal foundation for the nation's prosperity while firmly adhering to the independent stand in all fields of politics, military affairs and economy.

Under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il the DPRK has turned into an invincible political power having a powerful state leadership system with the National Defence Commission as its pivot, a military power with the matchless revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and powerful war deterrent and an eternal cradle for the people as the Juche character and national character are firmly preserved throughout the society and the true nature of Korean-style socialism lives on.
