Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung standing on Mt. Ryongnam in Pyongyang on the 63rd birthday of the DPRK.

Laid before the statue were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces, power bodies, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, organs of science, education, culture and arts, public health and media, industrial establishments, schools, etc.

Also placed was a floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.

The participants made bows in humble reverence to the statue of the President, looking back upon the immortal revolutionary feats the President performed by achieving the historic cause of the country's liberation and building the country where the people have become its master.

People and school youth and children across the country laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues of the President in their residential areas.
