Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- The Meat Shop in Pothongmun Street was completed on the picturesque bank of the Pothong River on the 63rd anniversary of the DPRK.

The shop with a total floor space of at least 4,850 square metres has fish counters selling fresh and frozen fishes and processed fishes on the ground floor. Its first floor has meat counters selling beef, pork, geese, turkeys and other meat and processed meat. And its second floor has amenities for serving roast meat.

Modern equipment and service facilities to the best convenience of customers are provided.

Soldier-builders successfully finished the project on the highest level in several months true to the noble intention of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Last year he initiated the construction of a new meat shop and chose the site. While providing field guidance to the shop, he highly estimated the builders and designers.

A ceremony for the completion of the shop took place Friday.

Mun Kyong Dok, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea and chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, in an address said that the officials and employees of the shop should carry through the on-the-spot teachings given by Kim Jong Il and effect a new turn in service, thus make the people fully feel the loving care of the party.
