Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- An international academic symposium will be held here on Aug. 20 and 21 to celebrate the 65th founding anniversary of Kim Il Sung University.

The theme of the symposium is "Educational and scientific development and Kim Il Sung University".

The symposium will hear hundreds of valuable academic papers dealing with economy, history, philosophy, language, literature, law, mathematics, physics and life sciences to be presented by scholars in the DPRK and from various other countries.

It will bring together famous teachers and scientists from the well-known universities and research centers of different countries including the DPRK, China, Russia, Germany, Mongolia and Vietnam.

The symposium to be sponsored by Kim Il Sung University will provide a meaningful occasion in promoting the exchange and cooperation among universities and research institutes of different countries and contributing to educational and scientific development.
