Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung published the "Political Programme of the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" on Sept. 10, Juche 37 (1948), a day after the proclamation of the DPRK founding.

In the programme he indicated ways of reunifying the country, building an independent, sovereign state and maintaining independence in the domestic and foreign policies.

He also set tasks of the government for consolidating the achievements made in democratic reforms, carrying them out in the whole of Korea, building an independent national economy and culture and bolstering up the self-reliant defense power.

The programme was the first historic one calling for implementing by dint of the state power the tasks advanced by the President in the Ten-point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
