Poems Praising Kim Jong Il's Visits to Foreign Countries Created in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Dozens of poems hailing leader Kim Jong Il's successful visits to the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China were created and published in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The works represented well the undying feats he performed in the 8 000 km-long journey. They also portrayed the people's ardent longing for him as well as their mindset to respect and follow him. Poems "In This Mind Following the General", "Far Away from the Country" and "Song of Yearning" impressively reflect the great footsteps of devotion made by Kim Jong Il during his long journey to foreign countries in the wake of his forced march to every nook and corner of the country for its prosperity and people's happiness. The poems praised his feats with vivid representation of his energetic external activities. Poems "Congratulations to the Fatherly General!" and "The People Extend Glory" depict the people's joy of greeting him upon his return home after his historic foreign visits, special event in protecting the peace and stability in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world and accomplishing the human cause of independence. Reflected in the poems are warm congratulations and greatest tribute of the army and people of the DPRK to him who recorded a new chapter in the annals of the DPRK-Russia, DPRK-China friendship and made undying contributions to boosting the traditional friendly and cooperative relations. "O, We Will Hold Our General in Higher Esteem" and other poems truthfully represent the faith and will of the people to always hold in high esteem the leader who demonstrated the dignity and honor of the nation before the world. Pervading the poems is the determination to further glorify the feats of the peerlessly great man by making great innovations and leaping progress in building a thriving nation. |
