Wreaths Sent to Vietnamese Embassy Here

Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Party, armed forces and power bodies, ministries, national institutions and working people's organizations sent wreaths to the Vietnamese embassy here on Sept. 10 and 11, expressing condolences over the death of Vo Chi Cong, president of the State Council of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Placed before the portrait of the deceased were wreaths sent by the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, the International Affairs Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association, the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK), the Central Committee of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea (DWUK) and the Bureau of Diplomatic Corps Affairs. Present were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the SPA Presidium, Hyon Sang Ju, chairman of the C.C. the GFTUK, Ri Yong Chol, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, Pak Kil Yon, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, O Ryong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Trade, Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association, Chae Chun Hui, vice-chairwoman of the C.C., the DWUK, and other officials concerned. The participants observed a moment's silence to the memory of the deceased. |
