Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il received a letter from the participants in 17th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships on Monday.

The letter recalled that President Kim Il Sung made sure that an excellent Taekwon-Do Hall was built on the occasion of 8th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships in September, 1992.

Allow us to offer our sincerest thanks to you the great leader Kim Jong Il for making sure that the 17th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships were successfully held as the largest one in its history amid the deep concerns of the peace-loving people and Taekwon-Do players in the world, guided by the idea of justice, peace, friendship and unity.

The current championships offered us an opportunity to deeply cherish the honor and pride of being Taekwon-Do players and renew our determination to make all our efforts for the prosperity of the orthodox Taekwon-Do.
