Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, speaking at a meeting on Thursday, said that the country plans to modernize military equipment to boost defense system.

He told that the government had risen the budget for defense sector. "There is much urgency to conduct a modernization and build strong forces," he noted.

He said that the government targeted to modernize all the equipment of police and military and improve the equipment supply system by 2015.
