Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Malaysian Foreign Minister, Datuk Anifah Aman in a statement on Wednesday called upon member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to positively support the cause of the Palestinian people.

"For 44 years, our Palestinian brethren have been languishing under Israel's illegal military occupation," he said, adding "NAM must assist Palestine in ending this illegal occupation."

He asked NAM members to recognize East Kuds as the capital of Palestine and the state's independence based on borders before the 1967 Six Day War.
