Banquet Given for Indonesian Party Delegation

Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea hosted a banquet in honor of the delegation of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Monday.

Present there on invitation were the members of the Indonesian delegation headed by General Chairwoman of its Central Directive Council Megawati Soekarnoputri and Nasri Gustaman, Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK.

Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Kun Gwang, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, and officials of the C.C., the WPK.

Choe Thae Bok in his speech referred to the fact that the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle has conducted positive activities for social progress and prosperity and the interests of the working masses and the improvement of their positions, steadily expanding and strengthening the party.

He expressed the will of the WPK to make positive efforts to boost the friendly relations with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle in the idea of independence, peace and friendship in the future, too.

Megawatti Soekarnoputri said that President Sukarno and President Kim Il Sung laid the foundation of the friendly relations between Indonesia and the DPRK.

The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle is working hard to boost the relations between the two parties, governments and peoples, she noted.

She wished the flower garden of friendship between the two countries to be in fuller bloom together with Kimilsungia.
