Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Il Sung High School was newly established in Havana, Cuba.

An opening ceremony of the school took place on Sept. 5.

Present there were officials of the political parties, ministries and organizations of Cuba, teachers and students of the school, parents, the DPRK ambassador to Cuba and his embassy officials.

The naming of Kim Il Sung High School was declared at the ceremony.

The deputy principal for school affairs in an opening address called upon all the students to regard it as the highest honor to study at the school bearing the august name of President Kim Il Sung, study hard his revolutionary life and feats and the Korean people's socialist construction and strive to strengthen the friendly relations with them after graduating from the school.

Then an art performance was given by school children.
