DPRK's Anniversary Celebrated in Different Countries

Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Meetings, book and photo exhibitions, film shows and art performances took place in Austria, Mongolia and Laos on Sept. 6 and 8 on the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. On display in their venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and photos on their undying revolutionary feats and books and photos on the DPRK. Films shown included Korean film "Arms of Korea". The chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK said that Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK and strengthened it into a powerful socialist state. Socialist construction is making dynamic progress in the DPRK under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who is successfully carrying forward the cause of the President and an environment is being provided for regional peace and security, he stressed. The general secretary of the Federation of Peace and Friendship Organizations of Mongolia noted that the President liberated Korea from the Japanese imperialists' military occupation and built the people's country. The Korean people have registered great achievements in the work for the prosperity of the country under the banner of the Juche idea thanks to the leadership of Kim Il Sung, the eternal President of the DPRK, and Kim Jong Il, he added. Put on the stage of the art performance given in Mongolia were songs and dances of the DPRK and Mongolia. Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings in Austria and Mongolia. |
