Natural Disasters in Different Countries

Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Heavy rains hit southern Brazil, eastern coastal area of the U.S., southern Pakistan and eastern India recently, causing damage. Heavy rains in Brazil left a person dead, 48 000 inhabitants homeless and traffic paralyzed as of September 9. More than 680 000 people were afflicted by them. Five persons were killed and at least 120 000 inhabitants evacuated in the U.S. 141 persons were killed and 4 million inhabitants left homeless as of Sept. 11. 16 persons were killed and about 100 000 others were left homeless in India as of Sept. 12. |
