Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Ragib Ahsan Munna, secretary general of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, issued a statement on September 7 congratulating leader Kim Jong Il on his successful historical visits to the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.

The statement said:

Kim Jong Il paid historic visits to the Siberian and Far East regions of the Russian Federation and the Northeastern region of the PRC from August 20 to 27, 2011.

I extend the warmest congratulations to Kim Jong Il on his successful visits to Russia and China on behalf of all the members of the committee.

His recent visits were events of epochal significance in boosting the traditional DPRK-Russia, DPRK-China friendly relations, defending peace and security in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world and triumphantly advancing the human cause of independence.

The undying feats he performed in boosting the DPRK-Russia, DPRK-China friendly relations will shine long in history.
