New Delhi, September 14 (KCNA) -- Nineteen children have died of suspected encephalitis in Bihar northern India, reported the Indo-Asian News Service on Monday.

Nearly 50 children with suspected encephalitis had been admitted to hospital for treatment, most of them from rural areas, with more than a dozen children battling for life.

Measures are taken to prevent the spread of the disease on the spot.
