Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- Cases of corruption and irregularities of public officials have increased in south Korea since the present regime took power, south Korean MBC said on Wednesday.

An assemblyman from an opposition party clarified the cases of corruption and irregularities of public officials numbered at least 3 280 in 2008-2010 period, much more than 2005-2007 period.

On the other hand, disciplinary punishment taken against those charged with corruption and irregularities reduced than the previous regime, he deplored, adding the present regime is only paying lip service to "fair society".
