Beijing September 15 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the protectionist step of the U.S. in a press conference on Sept. 14.

The spokesperson said that the U.S. congressmen should be well aware of the importance of the relations of the China-U.S. economic trade and the essence of the reciprocal prosperity and should not do harm to the trend of the China-U.S. economic cooperation.

The spokesperson noted that China repeatedly clarified its stand to push ahead with the reform of the exchange rate system of the RMB.
