Moscow, September 15 (KCNA) -- Russia launched a test navigation of 4G nuclear submarine Severodbinsk, the first of its kind in the country, on Monday.

The nuclear-powered submarine of 9 500 tonnes displacement is capable of submerging 600 meters deep to the maximum, equipped with a new kind of a comprehensive communication and navigation system.

It also has eight vertical missile launchers, supersonic cruise missiles and deep-sea, multipurpose guided torpedoes and mines.

Severodbinsk will be commissioned to a Russian fleet this year, according to the Command of the Russian Navy.
