Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- Roberto Gabriele, general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, in a statement on Sept. 7 extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving nation and reunify the country independently and peacefully. The DPRK founded by President Kim Il Sung is a peculiar socialist state centred on the popular masses, guided by the Juche idea, the statement said, and went on: The DPRK today would be unthinkable without Supreme Leader Kim Jong Il who has steadfastly carried forward the cause of the President. Kim Jong Il has developed in depth the Songun idea founded by the President as required by the new era long ago and has pursued Songun politics based on it in all fields, shattering the imperialists' offensive against socialism. He paid historic visits to Russia and China recently, making important contributions to ensuring peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia and greatly encouraging the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving socialist nation. |
