Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore August 6 carried an article titled "Let's Go to Eat Pyongyang Cold Noodle" contributed by a commentator Im Pom.

The article says:

Not many restaurants serve Pyongyang cold noodle dishes and they are all tasty with different flavors.

In summer lunchtime, people wait in a long queue to take the dish at Pyongyang cold-noodle restaurants in Ulji Street, Jangchung-dong and Mapho District in Seoul, chatting about the dish.

Not a few people like the dish and some of them drive to Uijongbu and Taejon to take it. So, it is not easy to pride oneself on having eaten good cold noodle.

But, taking the cold noodle served at Okryu Restaurant in Pyongyang is really considered a pride.

A few years ago, I went to Pyongyang as a journalist and ate the cold noodle at Okryu Restaurant.

Its buckwheat flavor was strong, strips were appropriate and meat stock was limpid with unique taste.

It is a good thing that such a dish remains popular among south Koreans sensitive to fashion.
