Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The construction of apartment buildings is in full swing in the Mansudae area in the DPRK capital city of Pyongyang.

Since its groundbreaking in May this year, 26-storeyed buildings have already taken shape and skyscrapers have risen to over 30 stories.

It takes only 30 hours on an average to build a story, which makes it possible to put up the skyscrapers 20 days ahead of schedule.

With the buildings getting higher, new construction methods have been applied to the project.

Water supply and drainage pipes and electric wires have also been installed in the buildings.
