Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) --A "demonstration for getting registration fee halved without any condition and for the success of national candlelight demonstration to be held on September 29" was held in Pusan, south Korea on September 16.

Participating in the demonstration were students of universities in Pusan including Pusan National University, Dong-A University and Pukyong University and members of civic and social organizations including the Network for Education and figures of opposition parties.

They deplored the university education has reached a very serious phase due to the evil policy pursued by the authorities.

It is the present reality that university students are saddled with debt due to the registration fee and destined to live as people without any credit and part time workers even after their graduation, they noted.

They denounced the authorities for failing to put forth any solution despite this situation.

They declared the students and their parents and people of various circles would pool their efforts to pressurize the authorities to honor their commitment to halving the registration fee.
