Cambodian Radio on Military Power of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- FM 90.5 Radio of Cambodia on Sept. 7 aired a program titled "Reason why a war did not break out on Korean Peninsula".

66 years have passed since the U.S. forces occupied south Korea, the radio noted, and continued:

The Korean Peninsula has been the biggest hotspot in the world for over half a century due to the U.S. forces' presence in south Korea.

Nevertheless, a war did not break out on the peninsula thanks to the very strong military power of the DPRK.

The consistent peace-loving policy of the DPRK is also an important factor of deterring a war in this region.

This year, too, the U.S. brought its nuclear carrier flotilla to the waters off the peninsula and staged various military exercises, straining the situation.

But the peace and security on the peninsula will be firmly defended as there are supreme leader Kim Jong Il, defender of justice, the tremendous capability for self-defense and the consistent peace-loving policy of the DPRK unanimously supported by the international community.
