S. Korean Privileged Circles' Irregularities and Corruption Flayed

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- A floor spokesman for the Democratic Party, an opposition party, accused the privileged circles of their irregularities and corruption, according to MBC of south Korea on Sept. 18.

He recalled that the chief secretary for public relations of Chongwadae was confirmed to be suspected of receiving a huge amount of money from a man behind the bank scandal at a time when many high-ranking officials were indicted for their involvement in the case of the Pusan saving bank, an extra-large scam.

It was also disclosed that an elder cousin of the present chief executive got hundreds of millions of won from a construction company owner as funds for undertaking four river improvement projects on behalf of the "president," he noted.

This is just a tip of iceberg of scandals, he noted, demanding the prosecution thoroughly investigate those leading persons involved in the bank scandal, confidants of the chief executive, in particular.
