Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Cuban delegate Berti denounced at the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) the continuity of the U.S. economic blockade, while recalling the injustice committed in the case of the Cuban Five.

Regarding the matter of the Washington-imposed economic, trade and financial blockade on the island for over 50 years, the diplomat stated that the blockade persists and strengthens.

That blockade is a massive, blatant and systematic violation of the human rights of the Cuban people, as well as with a marked extraterritorial nature, he added.

He also stated that the Cuban five patriots, marked 13 years of unjust imprisonment in the United States on September 12.

"Cuba demands justice. They should be immediately freed and allow them return to our country," he urged.
