Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Friday that he intends to submit a request to the United Nations Security Council for full membership of a Palestinian state in the world body.

He added that the decision to go for the bid "has been taken and we won't withdraw it."

"This is our first choice, and we haven't yet decided on our other choices," said Abbas.

"We want to isolate Israel's policy and de-legalize the occupation." said Abbas.
