Abolishment of NSL Urged by Internet Newspaper of Koreans in U.S.

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Minjok Thongsin, an Internet newspaper of Koreans in the United States, on September 17 posted an article demanding the repeal of the "National Security Law."

The article said that the NSL has been in force as an institutional mechanism blocking the reconciliation, cooperation and exchange between the south and the north for more than six decades.

It accused the south Korean authorities of taking such tyrannical action as closing down even the homepages of the progressive civic and public organizations in recent days in wanton violation of the people's rights.

The present authorities are suppressing the patriotic organizations and personages who devoted their all to the reunification movement after cooking up a "spy ring case" instead of abolishing the evil law, and kicking up a campaign against the DPRK in collusion with the U.S., it noted.

Noting that a campaign for abolishing the NSL is one for crushing the group of sycophants and traitors, the article called on all Koreans to unite and struggle for forcing the present ruling forces of south Korea to step down.
