Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings, lectures and film shows took place in Malaysia, Russia and Uganda between Sept. 8 and 12 on the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Films shown included Korean films "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Pyongyang at Night".

Present at the events were officials of the Malaysian Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung, the Russia-Korea Children's Friendship Association Named after Kim Jong Il of 11th Middle School in Khabarovsk City of Russia, the Department of Culture of Pushino City, Moscow Region and the Ugandan National Women's Council and masses.
