Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- A total of 80 Jordanian members of parliament (MP) sent a memorandum under joint signature on September 18 to reaffirm support and solidarity to the Palestinian people.

The memorandum urged the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union on Sunday to support the Palestinian National Authority's (PNA) move to seek recognition at the UN for an independent Palestinian state.

In the memo sent to the union, the Jordanian MPs called for an emergency meeting to stress rejection of the "alternative homeland scheme" and to stress on the right of the Palestinian refugees for return and compensation.
