Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- Korean people had not only built cultural assets in Japan but educated its people. One of the educators was Wang In. Invited to Japan as a teacher of its crown prince some 1 600 years ago, Wang taught Japanese people, created Japanese songs and transferred Paekje's advanced technologies to the country. The fact was recorded in Japanese history books "Nihonshoki" and "Kojiki". In Hiragata City, Osaka Prefecture, there are Wang's tomb and a tombstone erected by Japanese people in the mid-18th century in praise of his merits. Japanese people are said to have annual events before the tombstone. The tombstone has an inscription "The cause of Dr. Wang In is indeed eternal. This tombstone is erected in the hope of not only repaying him for his merits but also seeing them always benefiting the culture of the East". |
