Beijing, September 20 (KCNA) -- Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo recently called for the country's peaceful development.

Speaking at a round-table talk at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Dai said China's peaceful development is based on historical and cultural traditions, the world trend and historical lessons gained from ups and downs of powers.

Seeking the country's peaceful development is the will of the state and national development program and policy which are being implemented in the process of China's development, he added.
