Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities are intensifying the suppression of government officials on charges of violation of the "National Security Law".

The number of the government employees who fell victim to the NSL increased 6 times last year compared with 2008, said the report submitted to the "National Assembly" by the Police Agency on Sept. 20.

The public security authorities took such actions against them for praising the north or giving publicity to it or producing such literature or possessing it.
