Tehran, September 22 (KCNA) -- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili, addressing a press conference on Monday slashed the hegemony of the United States.

"We should say good-bye to the period of U.S. hegemony," Jalili said.

"If we are talking about democracy, they (western states) too must be democratic," he added.
