New Park in Phyongsong City

Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- A new park made its appearance in Jungdok area, Phyongsong City, South Phyongan Province.

The park covers more than 27 500 square meters. It has a large area of greenery and thick woodland, man-made islet, fountain ponds, bridges, etc.

It is a good place for recreation as thousands of trees such as pine-nut trees, ginkgo trees and maple trees and rare flower shrubs grow there.

The man-made islet has a pavilion, bird pens, natural rocks, falls and observation deck which add to the scenic beauty of the park.

Fountain ponds, animal sculptures, peculiar resting places and diverse light decorations attract visitors.

Facilities for the operation of the park and its appendix have been built to the convenience of the visitors.
