Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The 42nd sports contest of artistes was held at Kim Il Sung Stadium on Friday.

The participants were divided into the groups representing theatrical art, cinematic art and fine art.

They competed in various events such as football, basketball, volleyball, track and field, group forced march and tug of war.

They fully displayed the high technique, collectivism and noble moral traits they have acquired through mass sports activities.

The group of theatrical art placed first in the contest in group standing.
