Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- A seminar on the issue of significantly commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung was held in Bangladesh on Sept. 17 under the sponsorship of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain.

It discussed the issues of significantly commemorating the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung and intensifying the activities of the association.

Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the association, said Kim Il Sung was the great leader and father of the Korean people and the eternal President of the DPRK who devoted all his life to his people, regarding it as his maxim to believe in people as in Heaven.

He crushed U.S. and Japanese imperialisms and built a socialist society of Juche, an ideal society of humankind, on the land of Korea, the chairman noted, and went on:

The Korean people victoriously stood the stern test of history, united close around leader Kim Jong Il. They will always emerge victorious, demonstrating the might of single-minded unity, he added.

He ardently called on progressive mankind to significantly commemorate the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar.
