Beijing, September 23 (KCNA) -- A senior Chinese official called for intensifying the education in morality among the people.

Speaking at a round-table talk held in Beijing on Tuesday, Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of China, said the education should be conducted, with emphasis on promoting the outlook on scientific development and establishing the system of core value of socialism.

It is also necessary to steadily consolidate the ideological basis of unity and tireless efforts of the entire people and upgrade the quality of public morality and the level of social civilization, he added.
