Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- The president of the 66th General Assembly session, Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, on Tuesday described the issue of desertification as "one of the most complex challenges of our time."

According to estimates by the UN Environment Program, one quarter of the Earth's land is threatened by desertification.
