Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain on Sept. 18 posted on its Internet homepage an article headlined "Victory of socialism, inevitability of history".

The article said: The popular masses have desired a new social system capable of protecting and realizing their independence and waged a strenuous struggle for it. As a result, socialism emerged.

It noted that socialism is superior to capitalism and the imperialists are employing every means and method to bring down socialism.

The harder the imperialists try to bring down socialism, the further the struggle for defending and advancing socialism gets intensified, the article stressed.

The number of the political parties which signed the Pyongyang Declaration "Let Us Defend and Advance the Cause of Socialism" which was adopted in April 1992 has increased to more than 270 from 70 at the time of the adoption, it said, and went on:

The reality of the DPRK which is demonstrating its might as an invulnerable fortress firmly defending the socialist cause from imperialism is infusing strong conviction and courage into many people of the world aspiring after socialism.

The socialist cause will continue making a dynamic advance toward the final victory.
