Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- South African President Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma, addressing the UN Security Council meeting on Thursday, called upon the international and regional organizations to have an important role in preventing conflicts before they begin.

"It is a fact that preventative diplomacy initiatives are more cost-effective than the deployment of peacekeepers once a conflict has broken out," he said, adding that the international and regional organizations should cooperate close in preventing conflicts before they begin.
