Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- One year has passed since a historic conference of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) was held in September last year.

Over the past one year, the Korean people have demonstrated their strong will to move up a rosy future of Kim Il Sung's Korea, united close around the WPK Central Committee headed by Kim Jong Il.

The celebrations of the 65th birthday of the WPK in October last year and the 63rd birthday of the DPRK in September this year served as occasions of displaying the strength of the close unity of Songun Korea, a political and ideological power.

The Korean army and people showed their will to always trust in Kim Jong Il and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche through the events like national meetings, the grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang" and military parades.

All voters took part in an election for deputies to the provincial (municipal), city (district) and county people's assemblies in July. The high turnout mirrored the invincibility of WPK and DPRK and a strong will of the Korean people to remain faithful to the Party and the leader.

During Kim Jong Il's China visit in May and China and Russia visit in August the invincible might of the Korean people's close unity was manifested again.

Kim Jong Il's tireless activities for the promotion of friendship with other nations and the independence of humankind stirred up the hearts of the Korean people, encouraging them to do much work in socialist construction.
