Apology and Reparation for Sexual Slavery Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- "Thongyong and Koje Citizens' Association for Solidarity with Grandmas, Former Comfort Women for the Imperial Japanese Army" in south Korea held a meeting in South Kyongsang Province on September 22 at which they demanded Japan settle its crimes.

At the meeting speakers noted most of the women who had been forced into sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army died with their grudge unsettled.

The issue of making apology and reparation to the victims of the sexual slavery is not an issue confined to them, they held.

They urged the "government" to immediately give up its humiliating diplomacy and make positive efforts to pressurize Japan to make formal apology and reparation for its unethical crimes.
