Minju Joson Blasts Japan's Military Moves against DPRK

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, Japan launched a new intelligence gathering satellite as regards the sudden suspension of the spy satellite which had been put into orbit to monitor the DPRK's military moves in last August. Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a by-lined commentary in this regard: This means Japan is maintaining its military alert posture against the DPRK and its neighboring countries round-the-clock. Japan is getting frantic with military espionage against the DPRK and its neighboring countries not because of any threat to it but prompted by its wild ambition to maintain a military and strategic edge over its neighboring countries and thus play the role of the leader of Asia, the commentary notes, and goes on: Japan's moves to turn itself into a military giant is reaching a more reckless stage at a time when important changes are taking place and the political situation surrounding the Asia-Pacific region is rapidly changing in the international arena. It is stepping up the moves for its conversion into a military power in the direction of developing the military cooperation system with the U.S., in particular. It is busy introducing various type combat and technical equipment from the U.S. with a wild ambition to modernize the arms and equipment necessary for the attainment of the above-said goal by developing the military cooperative relations with the U.S. keen to establish domination over the Asia-Pacific regions and participate in wars of aggression in real earnest. It is, at the same time, getting busy with its efforts to clinch the deal over the transfer of the Futenma U.S. forces airfield, a controversial issue. Its policy of military confrontation is rendering the situation in Northeast Asia extremely tense. They should be aware that their pursuance of the above-said policy is as foolish an act as dropping axes on their own feet. Japan would be well advised to immediately stop the reckless military moves for its own benefit. |
