Beijing, September 27 (KCNA Correspondent) -- DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Tuesday met and had a friendly talk with Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, at the Great Hall of the People.

Both sides significantly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance this year, Choe Yong Rim said, and went on: This is an expression of the will to comprehensively consolidate and develop the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations in all fields according to the common recognition achieved by the top leaders of the two countries.

The DPRK will strive to further strengthen the friendship, unity and cooperation which stood the ordeals of history and jointly defend the regional peace and stability.

Jia Qinglin said that the Sino-DPRK friendship personally provided by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries has stricken deep roots into the hearts of the peoples of China and the DPRK, standing the storms of history.

He expressed the conviction that the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship would grow stronger under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.
